KC Club Schedule–Week 21: Like You’re Going To Stay Home And Watch The Royals

WEDNESDAY GAME: Another week, another lovely forecast. And croquet is more fun than watching the Royals stumble around, right? It has to be. Anyway, we hope you’ll plan to join us at 6:30 pm at the Cleveland Croquet Club (23567 State Line Rd., Cleveland, MO).

WEEKLY SCHEDULE: The MCA Championship is just a couple of weeks away. There is still plenty of time to work on your game with us every Wednesday at the Cleveland Croquet Club (weather permitting, naturally).

8/30—Cleveland Croquet Club, 6:30 pm

9/16—MCA Championship (Loch Lloyd Golf Course, Belton, MO)

9/22-24—USCA National 9-Wicket Championship (English Landing Park, Parkville, MO)

MCA CHAMPIONSHIP: Speaking of the MCA Championship, we will be playing it at Loch Lloyd Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 16. The Pro Division will play in the morning, with Gold and Silver in the afternoon. Invites to qualified players will be going out soon. See here for more details.

OTHER TOURNAMENTS: They’re not part of the MCA “official” schedule, but you should be aware of a couple of other croquet opportunities. First, there’s the USCA National 9-Wicket Championship, which will be held at English Landing Park in Parkville, MO the weekend of Sept. 22-24. The event will have a Championship flight as well as First Flight Singles and Doubles. The maximum number of entries is 24, and the entry deadline is Sept. 8, so don’t delay signing up if you are interested. Check out this link for more information.

Also, the MCA will be helping with a charity tournament at Char Bar in Westport next month. The tournament benefits Giving The Basics and will be played over three Wednesday nights (Sept. 13, 20, and 27, with the championship on Sept. 30). And there will be free samples of Wicket & Peg bourbon! Here are your details. If you can’t play, we hope you’ll at least help spread the word about this worthy cause.
